Chicago Cubs’ Seiya Suzuki Trains with Samurai Sword Ahead of Tokyo Series ⚾

Chicago Cubs star Seiya Suzuki took an unconventional approach to the training session, swapping his bat for a samurai sword. In a viral video shared by the Cubs gaining over 3 million views on X, we have another opportunity to witness the remarkable talent of Seiya.

Results? All balls were harmed during the making of the video. With every pitch, he sliced every single ball like a MasterChef, making it look weirdly easy like slicing oranges.

The Cubs take on the Dodgers on March 18 and will also battle Japan’s Hanshin Tigers and Yomiuri Giants in exhibition games at the Tokyo Dome.

Hong Kong’s Gen Z Is Ditching Full-Time Work…but Why?

A Hong Kong government survey reveals that 36% of youths aged 15 to 29 have no plans to get a job, especially full-time. This trend, known as ā€˜tang ping’ (lying flat), reflects a rejection of the traditional hard-work culture.

Digging deeper, many Gen Zers cite a desire for freedom or simply boredom. Ken Hui, 26, worked full-time for six months before quitting in 2023, stating, ā€œI don’t want to go back to full-time work because I don’t want my job to be very monotonous — repeating the same work every day and knocking off at the same time. There’s no life.ā€

While some label Gen Z as lazy or obsessed with instant gratification, an HSBC survey found that 61% of Gen Z Hongkongers see homeownership as far-fetched.  This has left many young people demotivated, prioritizing freedom over stability and ultimately a possible reason for ditching a full-time position.
